Hi there,
Although I have always enjoyed writing, it wasn't until I was in my 40's that I applied to do a degree in Creative Writing. I graduated in 2012 from Bath Spa University after what I still consider to be, three of the best years of my life - to be immersed in the world of writing and surrounded by other writers was an incredible honour. I learnt heaps and perhaps even more importantly, received feedback a-plenty from fellow students and tutors alike: it is not until others read your work that you know whether you have been successful in conveying your ideas (I love to provide a space for people to receive feedback at my workshops).
Twelve years later, having worked my way through many obstacles and distractions while still writing and running workshops and groups, I am in the fortunate position of being able to immerse myself again; this time without any tutors. I am on a self-driven 21 year long mission to complete my numerous writing projects and ideas by the time I reach the age of 80! I feel so grateful for this opportunity. Please follow my blog, 21 Years of Writing, to see what I'm working on.
